FEES
In keeping with the ancient yoga tradition, all class fees are by
donation. Suggested donation is $12 a class.
What
does donation mean?
If you can put $12 in the box, great. If not, no problem, put in
whatever you can. If you’d like to contribute in advance of
classes for ease, we recommend $60 for six classes. It is the policy
of the studio to make regular yoga classes available to more people.
We recognize that yoga, like everything else, has moved beyond the
reach of a lot of people, this is our way to open the door to yoga
a bit wider.
WORKSHOPS
YOGA FOR DEEP RELAXATION
Wednesday, July 23, from 7:30-8:45 p.m.
Please RSVP
Are you tired? Really really tired? Come practice
the art of deep relaxation, referred to as Yoga Nidra or Pratyahara
practice. In this session, we'll back away from our lives and find
a place deep within to rest peacefully. We'll begin with gentle
asana and then settle into a guided meditation that ushers in a
state of deep quiet. This is a great practice to do before bed to
bring on restful sleep. Highly recommened for people living with
chronic illness, anxiety, depression, insomnia, etc. Minimum 4 students/maximum
8. RSVP to stacy@redsquareyoga.com
Suggested donation $12 Minimum 4 people/maximum 8.
HOME
PRACTICE WORKSHOP
Sunday, July 27 from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
Please RSVP
Join Stacy on for the monthly Home Practice Workshop/Sangha.
Home practice is the bane of many yogis’ existence. It's easy
(or easier) to take classes than it is to confront your mat at home.
But, practice is practice and classes are classes. This workshop/sangha
is designed to support home practice and make it 'doable'. You will
leave the workshop with a practice sheet that you understand and
will be able to follow at home.
This class will be different each month and is designed for students
to repeat and new students to join in. The end-goal is always the
same– home practice. Pre-Registration required. RSVP to stacy@redsquareyoga.com
Suggested donation $20. (For purposes of planning only, please let
me know if you were at the last workshop.)
MEDITATION AT RED SQUARE
Sunday evening from 6:30 p.m.– 8:00 p.m
Come sit with us! Meditation is going well at Red
Square Yoga. We are fortunate to be partnering with the Mindfulness
Community of Puget Sound (MCPS) for meditation each Sunday evening.
at the studio. MCPS sits and studies in the Zen Buddhist tradition
of Thich Naht Hanh. It is wonderful.
In brief, each week we have two twenty-minute periods of seated
meditation broken up with walking meditation. We conclude the evening
with dharma talk, special readings, or study. All are welcome to
join. If you do not have meditation experience and/or have other
questions, please feel free to email Charlie Heffernan at dharm_moon3@hotmail.com
